One new feature of the SEDA Show Night is the ‘Essential tunes selection’. This is the feature where we pick a small selection of essential tunes for a particular genre which are tried and tested by an expert DJ in this field.
On Sunday 21st September 2008, our President Theo Loyla presented the following Line Dancing tunes:
The 5 tracks were:
- Red Hot Salsa by Dave Sheriff for Red Hot Salsa (very popular easy classic)
- Now I can Dance by Tina Arena for Into The Arena (classic intermediate)
- Last Night by Chris Anderson & DJ Robbie for Chill Factor (classic intermediate)
- If You Wanna Be Happy by Dr Victor & The Rasta Rebels for Crazy Foot Mambo (easy intermediate & No 1 on Line Dance dj’s playlist chart)
- Headphones by LeAnn Rimes for Head Phones (intermediate & No 1 on latest dancers chart)

Allen & Heath will be introducing a new style Xone:02 scratch mixer at the PLASA show. Available immediately, the new version sports a specially-commissioned full colour face plate and incorporates the ProXfade crossfader.
The ProXfade crossfader uses conductive plastic tracks giving the fader a longer life as well as substantially reducing the bleeding of sound after constant usage, and it is fitted to permit easy access for the DJ to lubricate and clean the fader. The crossfader also has tension torque control and an adjustable cut-in point to allow the DJ to customise the feel of the fader.
“The changes, coupled with the Xone:02’s excellent sound quality and feature set, bring the mixer bang up to date with the requirements of today’s scratch DJ’s,” explains Xone Designer, Andy Rigby-Jones. “The new in-house designed face plate provides a contemporary feel, while the ProXfade crossfader offers the latest and most advanced functionality of any crossfader in the scratch DJ market.”
